Board of Education Budget Vote and Trustee Election

The 2024 Budget Vote and Trustee Election will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Trustee Nominating Petitions will be available in the District Clerk’s office starting Friday, March 1, 2024 and completed packets should be filed with the District Clerk on or before 4:00PM on Monday, April 22, 2024. 

Voter Registration can be done Monday through Friday between 8:30AM and 3:30PM school days in the District Clerk’s office located at 933 Goodrich Street, Uniondale, Uniondale High School until Thursday, May 16, 2024 to be eligible to vote in the 2024 Vote to be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Board of Registration will be open at all 5 Polling Sites (All Elementary Schools) on Thursday, May 2, 2024 and Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 9:00AM to 7:00PM for residents to register to vote in the 2024 Annual Budget and Trustee Election to be held on May 21, 2024. 

Voter Registration Forms are available on the District website (see below) and in the District Clerk’s Office.

Early Vote and Absentee Applications are available in the District Clerk’s Office and must be received by the District Clerk no earlier than 30 days before the election for which an absentee and early mail ballot is sought.  To obtain a ballot by mail, completed applications must be received by the Office of the District Clerk at least seven days before the election. The absentee or early mail ballot will be mailed to the address set forth in the application, no later than six days before the election. To obtain a ballot in person (applicant or his or her agent), the completed application must be delivered to the Office of the District Clerk no later than the day before the election, Monday, May 20, 2024. Absentee and early mail ballots must be received by the Office of the District Clerk not later than 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. 

The military voters who are not currently registered may apply to register as a qualified voter of the school district.  Military voters who are qualified voters of the school district may submit an application for a military ballot. Military voters may designate a preference to receive a military voter registration, military ballot application or military ballot by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail in their request for such registration, ballot application or ballot. Military voter registration application forms and military ballot application forms must be received in the Office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 26, 2024.  No military ballot will be canvassed unless it is returned by mail or in person and  (1) received in the Office of the District Clerk before the close of the polls on election day and showing a cancellation mark of the United States postal service or a foreign country’s postal service, or showing a dated endorsement of receipt by another agency of the United States government; or (2) received by the Office of the District Clerk by no later than 5:00 p.m. on election day and signed and dated by the military voter and one witness thereto, with a date which is ascertained to be not later than the day before the election.
