District-Wide Safety Plan

Uniondale Union Free School District-Wide School Safety Plan 

July 23, 2020 

 The District-Wide School Safety Plan as required by the SAVE Law – Safe Schools Against Violence in Education , the Commissioner of Education (Regulation 155.17 has been established to provide for the safety, health and security of both students and staff and allows for input from the entire school community.  This particular component of Project SAVE is a comprehensive planning effort that addresses risk reduction/prevention, response and recovery with respect to a variety of emergencies that may occur in the school district and its component school buildings. 

The District-Wide School Safety Plan Annual Public Review: 

The Uniondale Union Free School District encourages the public to review the District-Wide School Safety Plan.  Pursuant to the Commissioner’s Regulation, Section 155.17 (e)(3), a summary of the plan is made available annually, at least 30 days prior to its adoption by the Board of Education.  The Board of Education Meeting scheduled for August 25, 2020, will include information regarding the District-Wide School Safety Plan.  There will be the opportunity for community members to respond at the meeting.
