Uniondale High School Holds Career Fair
Students Start Planning for their Future

Uniondale High School recently held a career fair where the community met with career professionals and learned about vocational, certificate, transitional, and apprenticeship programs. The event was open to students, teachers, staff, families, and all Uniondale residents. The event was sponsored by the New York State My Brother’s Keeper organization.

Several colleges were present at the career fair, including the Universal Technical Institute,
Hofstra University, Lincoln Technical Institute, New York Institute of Technology, Nassau
Community College, Farmingdale Community College, Suffolk Community College, Long
Island University, and The College of Automotive Technology. Applications for scholarships
were also available.

For those browsing prospective careers, there was a wide array of local businesses and
organizations to network with. Those present included the Nassau County Police Department,
Nassau County Civil Service Commission, Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and
Rehabilitation, Premiere Endodontics of Long Island, New York State Realtor Better Homes
Garden Dream Properties, Public Librarianship and Library Administration, Built Well Solar
Energy Corp., Uniondale UFSD Transportation and Guardian Bus Co., Fidelis Care, Empire
Blue Cross/Blue Shield, NP Simms Holistic Community, and Project Hope Nassau at the New
Horizon Counseling Center.
