Uniondale MBK

The Uniondale School District held a My Brother's Keeper Community Forum on Thursday, March 10th to share updates with the community on their work on MBK initiatives.  Advisors from the middle school and high school discussed the programs they have implemented for the MBK students including mentoring, community fundraisers, college and career conferences, a Students vs. Staff basketball game and science workshops with Morrison Mentoring.   Class of 2022 MBK Fellows, Darin Fray and Brandon Long, talked about what being an MBK Fellow meant to them.

The Uniondale High School My Brother's Keeper group hosted a Hoops and Mental Health event to address stress, anxiety and mental health among young men of color.  This event was organized by MBK Fellows Darien Fray and Brandon Long.  The event brought students together to play basketball and discuss issues they are facing and strategies to stay mentally healthy.
